Yachts of Seabourn announces new Godmother

The latest celebrity cruise Godmother has been announced. The Yachts of Seabourn have revealed that Twiggy is to be the Godmother of its newest yacht, Seabourn Sojourn, at an exciting naming ceremony hosted on board on the River Thames Friday 4th June 2010.

On Saturday 5th June, the Yachts of Seabourn has also donated Seabourn Sojourn to Breast Cancer Haven as the venue for an exclusive fundraising gala event to celebrate the charity’s 10th anniversary.

“I am incredibly excited that Seabourn has asked me to be Godmother to Seabourn Sojourn.” said Twiggy. “Her stylish interiors and sleek silhouette make her one of the most elegant yachts at sea. I am thrilled that Seabourn is combining their inaugural celebrations with Breast Cancer Haven’s 10 year anniversary – it really is a wonderful organization.’’

Twiggy exploded onto the international modelling scene as a London teenager in 1966 and has enjoyed over four decades of success in the world of modelling, acting and fashion design since. She is an ardent campaigner for animal welfare and breast cancer support.

Seabourn Pride returns to Scandinavia

The Yachts of Seabourn has announced a change of operation for popular vessel Seabourn Pride in the summer of 2011.

 

The all-suite vessel will relocate from its winter Southeast Asia season in the spring and sail a succession of 12-day Baltic & Russia cruises between Stockholm and Copenhagen, along with two 15-day round trip cruises from Copenhagen to Norway’s Fjords and the North Cape.

 

Seabourn Pride’s schedule will complement that of its sister-yacht, the 450-guest Seabourn Sojourn, which will be sailing shorter, seven and nine day voyages of the region.
 
“The Baltic and Scandinavia region has been a perennial favourite for summer cruising among Seabourn guests, and Seabourn Pride has been extremely successful there” said Seabourn president and CEO Pamela Conover. “With the tremendous influx of new, first-time Seabourn guests in the past year, we want to offer the alternative of slightly longer Baltic itineraries, visiting some smaller, Seabourn Pride-style ports that have proven popular in the past.”

 

The revised schedule will go on sale on the 25th May.

 

Yachts of Seabourn for 2011/2012

Yachts of Seabourn have announced an exciting range of new itineraries for 2011/2012. Returning to Canada and New England with a series of nine-day Autumn Maritime cruises aboard Seabourn Sojourn, the yacht will also make a maiden call to New York. Sojourn is also to operate a series of six 14-day Patagonian Passage voyages to the picturesque Chilean Fjords, Cape Horn and the Falkland Islands between Valparaiso, Chile and Buenos Aires, Argentina. 

 

Seabourn Pride remains in Asia for a second season of year-round exotic cruises to major destinations such as Japan, China, Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand and Taiwan.  New for 2011, Pride will operate a series of original 12-day cruises between Singapore and Bali with calls to exotic ports in Borneo, Sulawesi and Java.

 

In early 2012, Seabourn Legend will be based in the Arabian Sea and will offer Indian Oceans Delight with stops to Oman’s capital city of Muscat and the vibrant city of Mumbai, India.  Another thrilling itinerary is the 60-day Stars of the Southern Cross Cruise round trip from Los Angeles to French Polynesia. This will take in the stunning scenery of New Zealand, Australia and Hawaii and all from the luxurious Seabourn Odyssey.
